I don't really have any photography heroes quite honestly. Having said that, Christopher Doyle's work is the holy grail for me. He's had a big impact on my visual style.

My heroes are really people that have had a profound influence on my way of thinking and have strongly influenced my style. Those people are, by and large, film directors - Akira Kurosawa, Ozu Yasujiro, Wong Kar-wai, and Alfred Hitchcock. They are true geniuses and are huge influences on my work. Bruce Lee has always been a massive inspiration to me as well.

Aside from the people I just mentioned, I take great inspiration from the golden age of Hong Kong cinema, classical Japanese cinema, and classical Hollywood cinema. My inspiration comes from all over so it's quite hard to pinpoint. It's certainly not from films made nowadays though, I can tell you that much.
