At university my work always had a layer that made it more personal, but due to a lack of confidence I never made the work I really wanted to until my final year.

I'm working on a book at the moment, which I hope will fund the next book and so on. I'd just like to make a bit more money from my work, so I can have more time to do it.

These images come from various projects. The first two are from a series called Reality of Youth Going Backwards in Vain, which I made in my final year at university and explores a phase where all I could think about was the cycle of life. The next two are from One Is Not Like The Other, which I made for the Guernsey Photography Festival after winning a competition, and explores identity by looking at my family and I. Then there is two images from The Many Faces of JFA, where I took a photograph of myself for a year and a day, and overlayed the images to try and create a 'truer' representation of myself. Finally the last two are from a project called Your Mind & Body Is All That You've Got, which is an ongoing project that looks at becoming comfortable with yourself, whilst at times trying to hide who you are.
