I find that using the techniques I do allows me to embrace imperfection as an integral part of the artistic process. The unchangeable artifacts that appear on each plate as evidence of the technique, are particular to that moment in time, and become entwined in the very essence of each image. Just like my work, I’ve realized that I don’t need to Photoshop my life…it’s pretty good just the way it is.
