I was always interested in photography, ever since I was a little girl. I have a Mickey Mouse camera where you pull down his ear down to release the shutter. I didn't go to school for photography but started out carrying lots of heavy equipment. I was in my twenties and found myself living in Tokyo, Japan so I started as a photo assistant for Yoshihito Sasaguchi. It was tough because I had to learn a whole new language and culture but it's where I really learned my craft; working on shoots for Vogue and Marie Claire, Harpers Bazaar, shoots like that.
It all paid off, as I have been able to travel the world on commercial and editorial assignments to places like Beijing, Barcelona, Iceland, Moscow, Germany and Italy. I recently moved back to my native New York City and I live in Tribeca, hence the name of my company, Tribecky Studios.
