Living in an underdeveloped country like my own with almost no fashion professionals forced me to intuitively discover many of the disciplines that this activity requires, I have trained models, styled and produced photo shoots directed runways and controlled back stages, created scenography, scouted for locations in far, nearly inaccessible places you would not believe, producing large events from scratch and personally directing every aspect of them, from the lights and sound to the press releases and public relations, all while striving to get a new collection done in time for the main event.

I’m not saying I did not have any teachers or influences, I will try to show these people’s work in future articles, Marcelo Antezana and Leandro Lopez passed on to me 25 years of modeling instruction and opened the doors of their agency “La Maison” to all my crazy projects, Liliana Castellanos inspired in me the love of Alpaca that we now share, and Enrique Menacho propelled my styling to new heights; through his photography I learned to see my own creations from a different, higher view point.
