This is not a process of correction or fixing but rather absolutely integral to the creation and idea of the image. Digital manipulation is intrinsically linked to the themes I’m interested in. Undermining traditional conceptions of photography, particularly questioning the stability and veracity of the still photograph, offers ways to subvert traditional concepts of corporeality and self identify.

The whole process tends to be very time consuming and can sometimes take many months. I quite like how I have taken what can be the most immediate of mediums and slowed it down to a very prolonged gestation before finally arriving at a finished picture, even though there is something slightly perverse about that too.
