I believe I do have a particular aesthetic. My pictures are grainy and unsaturated, and I see it as a response to all the glossy, HD, clean pictures that are everywhere, (in magazines, adverts, social media etc.) There is an obsession with clear image and high resolution that I don't think it necessarily adds to photography.
I am a young photographer myself but yeah, the usual, don't give up. And also prioritize. Better be an interesting person than a successful photographer.
