"We have done an interpretation of the classic still life. Still life usually depicts natural and manmade objects, in our pictures the natural objects has been replaced with folded paper.
The pieces are almost weightless and lack the qualities that the original have; taste, smell, nourishment and so on. We want the eye to stop for a second and recognize that something is different but at the same time we want the pictures to be as timeless and beautiful as the 18th century paintings that we have been inspired by."
