I am making a living as a photographer now, usually on advertisements. I keep my portfolio updated as much as I can, email people to remind them that I exist and have a agent that takes care of me and makes sure I get paid for what I do. My personal projects are really important. They show that I keep my creativity alive and that I work hard.

That would be my advice for those starting up. Work hard and try to make personal projects as often as you can and of course, as your economy allows you. It´s better to try and fail than to wait a year walking around frustrated that you´re not doing anything. Creativity pays off in the end. Sometimes it takes a long time. But when you take a picture that makes you pump adrenaline and jump home after a 12 hour shoot you kind of forget about that for a while

TASTELESS:

This is an exhibition ordered by an restaurant in Stockholm (Restaurang 1900) and is a collaboration with paper cut artist Fideli Sundqvist and stylist Joanna Lavén.

We studied painting from the 18th century, picked objects common in those paintings and than, Fideli created all the organic objects out of paper.
Joanna chose backdrops, stone/wooden tables together with glasses, plates and fabric to create a character for that period. I worked with one light to shape the objects and create an atmosphere that is a reference to the paintings.

But it was important for us not to plagiarize but to create something new. The objects are all composed in the middle, more strict then the disorder often seen in the paintings.
