Having a camera of my own meant the means to render these images, mainly to myself. Back then showing or exhibiting them didn't interest me. I did join a couple of online photo communities, but pretty soon it became very clear that those sites weren't for me. My vision was completely different from most people's as I didn't want to go along with what was considered to be “beautiful” or worth depicting.

In the beginning my main interest lay in perception. All the different angles and the images they created and the fact that really everything in the world was just a matter of how we perceived it, fascinated me.
