There's a great Japanese saying; ichigo ichie (一期一会). It means "one time, one meeting" and it stresses the importance of cherishing every encounter you have in life for it may very well be your last. My favourite film, Chungking Express, is the embodiment of this philosophy.
I think I'm either obsessed with the past or trapped in it. I think my photography reflects that in a sense of nostalgia and dreamy mystery, like a fragmented memory on the cusp of recall.
