Dreamperson I specialise in cinematography which is essentially stills photography at a high frame rate. In terms of photography, I tend to do a lot more street photography than anything else, though I do shoot portraits and the like too. There's something special about shooting real people in a real life environment. There's a real thrill in the danger and intimacy you experience approaching subjects and taking their photo. The best advice I can give to anyone pursuing street photography is to have the courage to get the shot you want, even if the subject appears intimidating. Most of the time, that means getting stuck in. Get closer. Of course, use common sense! No one wants you getting killed out there. But if the subject doesn't look like a serial killer or a Bond villain, go for it. You may surprise yourself. |
