I began my photographic training when I approached the then most successful fashion photographer, Charlotte March, in Hamburg Germany and asked her if I could assist. She agreed. This helped me get into the business. I soon did all tasks in the studio from bookings to lighting.
Starting with one of the best was great. Her difficult personality was good training for what was to come. After 3 years it became a routine and I wanted to move on. That was the moment when my father died. I needed to see the world and traveled for a year, My first stop around the world was New York. I looked to work for the best and was introduced to Henry Wolf. We became friends instantly and worked together for almost 10 years. My specialty was lighting his ideas to make them look as he envisioned it.
