Someone once told me these images
have an "end of
the world" feeling. This might be what it is, people facing their own
selves, alone, in the middle of nature, no more buildings, what a
nice way to imagine the end of the word... or... It'd be more the end
of
a fragile equilibrium that makes a special moment of a life, it lasts
only a bit and it's only when it's finished and we are unable to get it
back
that we realize how special it was. What do these shots mean to you? Shooting these is really therapeutic, I'm as deep into this technique as I would be into a drug or any other addiction, except it brings some good out of me. It makes me observe time differently and it feeds my need for very technical and passionate photography. I still love the instant, quicksnap lifestyle photos of course, but this type of slow photography calms me down, it heals things that need to be healed. |
