I live inside this series of photos, it was all shot at my house and premises.
These photos bring us memories about past quiet moments. I want to show a paradox without using the obvious, a modern subject with an ancient technique or even easier, ancient scenes with ancient techniques. I want to show a paradox with our actual modern life, I show moments out of time, a suspension of our lives.
This forces us to dive deep into memories, collective or our own. It shows the now with a glimpse of the old but never with worry about the future. I like to show nature and people, as if this was a shocking, unusual topic. Everything is shot in long exposure with ancient large format cameras and one can feel the concentration and the, almost, meditation of the model in these images which I hope are mysterious enough.
