Louisiana One of my mentors (whether he plans on it or not) right now is an amazing Chicago music photographer, Paul Natkin. I haven’t gotten to see much of him lately but when I do I try to absorb as much information as I can, I have a lot of respect for him and his work. I’m a huge fan of Herman Leonard and Annie Leibovitz for music work, and for fine art work I have been really inspired by William Eggleston and Jerry Ueslman lately. I try to draw inspiration from anything, but mostly it comes from my personal experience. I am inspired an insane amount by whatever music I’m listening to. I try to have a distinctive different style of editing throughout each series, my newest series being the greatest as it is all done in black and white, but bottom line: they are all very highly edited images of abandoned structures. |
