the party's over Any advice... sure, learn how to use the basics. Learn about a histogram and your gamut. Learn what all your tools do and how to use them. Learn it all so intimately that you don’t need to think about it, like tying your shoe or eating. Then forget those tools are even there and enjoy yourself. You have to absolutely love the work you create. Don’t make it for an audience or a market. When it comes to your art, fuck everyone else. This is your moment to have the clearest view of you ever presented. If you try to make it for someone it will always be lifeless. But the moment your vision is clear everyone will be able to see with your eyes. And either shoot or work on a photo every day. If you shoot 100 images and only 1 is worth keeping, it was a good shoot. |
