Every fantastic photograph I see is an inspiration. But the most startling revelation was Ryan McGinlay's Summer series and the work of the photographic partnership Traci Matlock and Ashley Maclean. Post Bourdin fashion photography continues to be a visual  inspiration. I'm lucky in that each portrait leads to more questions and therefore more ideas; each time widening but also drilling down into the essence. A constant source of inspiration is not so much the greats but my compatriots on Flickr. There is something about seeing other artists evolve and create in the present that really makes me want to get out there and shoot the next portrait. Barmaids Within days of each other two of the bar maids from my local pub had their nipples pierced, with a bar. How could I not?
