The Leaning Shed

Again, referring to my grandma for a tidbit of history... "This pasture we used for our bulls, 8 to 12 during the winter. We kept cake pellets in the shed to feed them through the winter, and the around 300 cows, starting in early February. This was from 1948 until 1979."

As I was shooting, she informed me that the doorway was narrow for a reason.... if the wind blew the door off, then the cows couldn't get in to eat the feed that was in storage!

This shed (and so many buildings of its era) on the ranch is so close to collapse that it is part of what inspired these pictures. I wanted to capture their beauty, but in a way that would be unique to my life experience. So 99% of the styling (clothes, accessories, hair etc.) are things I designed to fit the story and compliment these historic features.
