I wanted to do a photoshoot that was slightly different from my usual work, that's more soft and feminine. It was early winter so I wanted to have that winterish, cold tone in this story. I also wanted to play around with the concept of having an edgier look but somehow making it work with a contrasting location, hence the styling and shooting in a pretty rose garden instead of an alley or an edgier looking place.
I shot this story purely in natural lighting. It was a good cloudy day that gave the soft diffused tone I had in mind. It's not often that the weather goes perfectly according to what a photographer has in mind but I was very lucky that day.
Lily and Cynthia was the perfect team to work with because they shared the same vision and they put the three looks together beautifully. It was my first time working with Georgia, she did an amazing job and she suited the concept perfectly.
Collaboration with the right people gave a good blend of style. And this complemented the end result of this shoot, which I was very very happy with. I couldn't have asked for a better team for this photoshoot.
