For my commercial work, I shoot a lot of fashion, music and portraits. My approach to everything is very portrait-based, so even if I'm shooting a model, I'm most interested in finding the story behind the shoot and shooting her as a character within that.
For my personal work, I shoot what's there. When you're shooting fashion, though, you're constructing what you want to be there, and I really enjoy that process as well. I love collaborating with a good stylist and building a world. It's like when you played make-believe as a kid, just on a much larger scale.
