I
very much admire the works of Tim Walker, Guy Bourdin, Miles Aldridge,
Duane Michals, and Annie Leibovitz, to name a few. As for mentors, I
have Lex Kabigting and Edward Cabalit to thank for their support,
advice and guidance. They are extremely talented and technical savvy
photographers who are also great and very giving teachers. I draw inspiration from films, books, magazines, stories and a well of imagination and emotions. For a concept, I love big ideas which I then divide into scenarios that are like vignettes, spaces where subjects are at play with their environment and reacting to certain situations. It's really an infinite number of things: causes of wonderment, agony, fragility, a memory, or something utterly universal that everyone can appreciate. I hope to continue to have the opportunity to turn my ideas into images. I look forward to shooting a wide variety of people, and giving them all a chance to tell their story. |
