Very early on, I managed to meet some amazingly talented individuals. I have collaborated with some of them on more than one occasion, especially with my very first model who was a ballerina. She sort of became my muse and was almost always the subject in my mind whenever I had a growing concept for a shoot. In some way, I feel that we grew together having worked on different themes. There's an ease that comes with familiarity, knowing what we want out of one another on a specific shoot -- without me having to explain too much or to give many cues, and with her having the freedom to emote, pose, interpret the subject against the story. Six months into shooting almost every weekend, I had my first show. A curator took an interest in my work and I was very happy that I was able to display several of my images revolving around one of the central themes of my photography.
