The secret to my success is very simple: blind luck and Photoshop. Everything I do goes through Photoshop, sometimes just a little burning and dodging here and there or take out a fire hydrant or move a tree, sometimes I construct a whole new picture from scratch. I'm very fortunate in that I'm comfortable with computers and I love being able to make my pictures look the way I want them to. I have absolutely no scruples about manipulating images and I'm very upfront about it – I say that what I do is not so much photography, but photo illustration. A friend of mine calls it "cyberrealism."
