...and after all is done, all that's left is me and my thoughts, with nothing to share...but my dreams.

My editorial and portrait work made me notice how fashion is effecting the character of people who care about it (that would be the majority even if they deny it)...it's not only about clothing items or accessories but it becomes part of who they are in a two way street kind of way...they feed off each other and lend a face to one another. The mood and story might start with a pair of shoes but could end up telling a long story of that persona in that point of time and place.

I need to connect to my concepts and my subjects...passion, romance and sensuality runs the engine for me while harsh everyday surroundings will act as the background for me most of the time...perhaps because of my documentary/ journalistic background, even the fantasy base ideas stay as organic as possible...hence my sentiments in photography...very minimal cropping and digital manipulations/enhancements are being done on my images and I still exclusively shoot film.

I don't always use a team for fashion. While in many projects a great team can take the project to the next level, in many of my sessions I have very precise looks in mind specially regarding styling, and at times it's easier to have a hands on approach. A talented make up artist of course is priceless and a great stylist can save the day and be the foundation of the whole shoot... but at times, a more intimate approach is needed, especially in my style of photography.
