Photo: Neil Massey – www.neilmassey.com At its largest, One Naked Egg had 27 photographers in the nest, but Ivy has since pared it down to maximize the amount of attention she can give all of them. “I have much more of an interaction between artists than I had before. Everybody shows up for everybody else’s show,” she says proudly. “The photographers support each other in a different manner. They’re each other’s subjects; they assist each other and lend each other equipment. They become friends.” And so if Ivy herself was one day a lone naked egg, she’s now brooding over a lot of them. “There’s a reason there are a lot of women reps,” Ivy explains. “It’s a very nurturing job.” When Ivy sees all her photographers working in harmony, she says she feels like a mother, saying “oh look all the kids get along so well!”. |
