I wouldn't want to give hints to new photographers, as I am still only within a year of starting out properly, and I wasn't even aware I was 'starting out' when I did! However - I would say - don't underestimate the power of photo-sharing in Cyberspace! It's up to you to get out there. And, be proud of your own style.
Drawing Back the Curtain
When I started to shoot in our bathroom in our new house in Leeds, the images became very popular. I got quite creative in there, bathing, showering and even just laying on the floor with various props! This image was paired with a controversial, highly commented-on narrative about self-portrayal and the dangers of showing one's flesh on internet sites such as Flickr.
