We knew we wanted to use Erika in a natural setting, but lit in an artificial way. I wanted her look to be feminine but strong, so soft colours and textures, but no long flowy skirts; "warrior" hair, but soft pink tones in the make-up. Fred art directed, exaggerating her poses so that she seemed to be a character in an epic, lost or separated but resourceful. Erika has an exquisite ability to emote with her face and her body language, and she got the mood right away, so the total definitely exceeded the sum of the parts on this one!

This particular creative happened more "off the cuff" than we usually work. We usually plan out all the elements and know exactly where we are going with it. This time, Fred found a "remote" location in the middle of the city, I contacted a freelance model I'd had my eye on for a while but had never met with, and we planned quickly from there. I pulled clothes from Blushing Designs, a few of my own designs, and a few odds and ends that felt right for our look.
