I have been making a living as a professional photographer since the age of 19. My advise to students and aspiring professionals is to set your goals, work hard, and never give up. I work in a community where many people told me it would be impossible to make a living shooting commercially. With some marketing and willingness to follow my passions things have paid off. I think people trying to break into the photography field should have high expectations of themselves and do everything in their power to achieve them. What is success to me might not be success for you. Make your own definition of success and succeed!

My clientele continues to grow year after year with more regional and national business. I have established himself as a great Environmental Portrait shooter which lands many Corporate clients as well as editorial work for many national publications. My work has been seen in numerous national consumer magazines as well as countless trade publications.

I am very laid back and easy going. I don't see any need for the "over the top" productions created by many in the advertising industry. I like to listen to my client’s needs and visions and work to create powerful images that get noticed.

In the future I see myself shooting even better environmentally and moving more into shooting lifestyle images. In five years I see myself working on bigger and better projects on a local and national level. The national market has changed with the electronic age, I can be shooting in Oklahoma on Monday and be in Florida on Tuesday. Online portfolios and the ease of air travel have made the national photography field a level playing ground.
