Years went by. I was still testing. I was thinking that I wanted to lean toward the fashion industry because that’s the imagery that was dominating my wall of tear sheets. One day, I opened Italian Vogue. There was an image that was so beautiful and surreal. It was almost ugly but there it was in Vogue magazine. A mix of surreal, disheveled-ness and a complete sense of classical technique. The photographer was Paolo Roversi, and I began to study his work. I noticed that his absolute beauty was tailored to the fashion industry but with a slight shift in staging, makeup and setting, his work could easily be adapted to my feelings, could transcend the allure of the classics when mixed with my flavor and style. All in all, my mind had never stopped preparing for this test. I could now take my personal style and graft it onto the inspirations that Paolo Roversi and others had provided.

Since the moment Photoflex sent me their equipment to duplicate a similar style as I had created with another company's products, I have seen glimpses of my new world to come. It doesn’t really include an industry other than the world of photography. I am truly satisfied with testing ideas using old equipment and applying all the knowledge I gained from the motion picture industry to generate  this imagery that has not yet been done. I know that almost everything has already been done but I believe certain ways of painting light have not, and certain ways of shooting have not. I think melding technology, cinema and a detailed attention to light painting with organic means will provide me with the missing elements that I have been searching well over ten years to find.
