During these last few years I´ve tried a lot of different directions. Fashion, documentary (went to Russia and did a project about an orphanage and Moldavia where I did a job for Amnesty), landscape... but it was after working with a student for the Collage of Art that I understood that still life was the perfect way to express myself. I am a dreamer and I like when reality is more than just real. In the studio I have total control to create images based on my fantasy. Nothing is there accidentally, everything is my or my and the stylist/AD choice.

I got in touch with some great people and was able to create a lot of projects I had seen in my mind and made drawings of (I keep my thoughts and drafts in books, it´s so easy to forget ideas)

I´ve always been interested in images that surprise and are close to surrealistic. René Magritte had a wonderful way to paint what seems to be something but turns out to be something else (trompe l´oeil). His paintings are often sad and humorous in a perfect harmony!

Bella Borsodi is a photographer I admire a lot that has a similar way to create his images, but his work is more surprising. I often smile when I look at his images because he is a genius in finding new ways to create still life.

Dan Tobin Smith is great to and has a similar way in his work.

I´m also very interested in the simplicity of the 18th century paintings. Usually one light that creates a dramatic atmosphere. The paintings are very beautiful with a darkness where the objects are shaped by this one light. A simple apple becomes something very beautiful, like piece of jewelry.
