But my thoughts about photography were still that it was just meant to be a hobby. I started to study Human Rights and International Law. After a year I was bored to death and decided to have a break and take a one-year course in black and white analogue photography. That year changed my life! I stayed in the dark room all year. Learned a little about scanning and photoshop. Nothing was boring! I started to look at schools of photography and got adopted by the Gamleby Fotoskola with commercial photography as my direction.

After two years and internships with photographers and a retouch agency in Copenhagen, Denmark and in Stockholm I got hired as a full-time assistant for two years. That was my best school. I learned a lot about lighting, the whole process from creating mood boards, planing the lightning, meetings with the Art Directors, shooting, pleasing yourself and your costumers. What kind of compromises you should/can take. And the photographer I assisted was great, patient and a really good teacher.

During this time I started to collaborate with students from the University Collage of Arts, Craft and Design. One thing lead to another and I ended up having meetings in the evenings and shooting on the weekends. After two years I was really tired and felt that I needed to make a change. I quit as an assistant and decided to give everything to my own jobs and projects. It was easier said than done. I had a portfolio that I was showing on meetings. Today I canīt really understand where I got the courage from. My pictures were, yes, creative, but not even close to to the quality I strive for today. I guess I wanted to show where I was at that time..my imagination...

Finally, I got in contact with a girl that was assisting a stylist and we did a project together that was published in a big magazine in Sweden. The day after an agency called and we decided to keep in touch for six months. Than I got signed.
