I first studied advertising in Paris. In my free time, I made an effort to frequently visit the French Cinematheque.  I  was immediately drawn to the cinematography in these films, and became obsessed with the framing, the lighting, and the camera movements.  Cinema was crucial in making me start to "frame" my own life and surroundings.
