I’m interested in depicting the human being’s vulnerability and abandonment. I am intrigued by solitude and man’s self-involvement in an individualist society. The crumpling of the printed paper creates creases over the subject’s face, as if they were underlying anxieties seeking a way out. This is an essay on our memory’s frailty and on photography as a means of holding on to a memory. In a corner of the house or out in the open space, these individuals lie secluded on the verge of oblivion.
