Over the years I did a U-turn in my interests. When I was growing up and learned how to photograph I loved to take pictures of landscapes, skylines and cities. I wasn't interested in people as an artistic subject at all. Today I think I just was too young and occupied with myself and with developing my own personality. And I think I was much too shy, too, to ask anyone to pose in front of my camera. But this changed with the years and when photography took part in my life again two years ago my focus had completely changed. Today I think people are the most interesting and appealing subjects to photograph and I don't think that I will change my mind again.

As heroes there are too many to mention because there are so many amazing photographers, established or upcoming, to discover each and every day. To nail it down to some names, I think I'm most impressed by the work photographers like Guy Bourdin, Jeanloup Sieff, David Bailey and Brian Duffy did in the 60s, without the help of photoshop and all the digital comfort we have today.

Furthermore I really love Helmut Newton's work and his simple and kind of childish approach to photography. And I think Hedi Slimane's style of photography is always a big pleasure to look at.
