I don't have an approach to photography. It's just kind of like I took Charlie Parker's philosophy "Learn everything you possibly can. Then forget about it and just blow." It's just with me I didn't learn everything I possibly could (I don't think I ever will).

In terms of the technical side of photography I'm a fucking dunce. I just shoot. I just see what I like about certain photos and the feelings I feel after looking at them and I'm trying to do that in my own work. That's one of my favorite "things" about the medium of photography or at least the section of it I'm in.

Everyone starts out on the same playing field (in my opinion). I've just never found someone who has this eye that's unparalleled to everyone else from the moment they pick up a camera. It's not like music where someone is born with perfect pitch or sports where there's people like Shaquille O'Neal being born.

People are born with certain abilities in other arts that are just "not fair". To me, photography is a sport where everyone starts out equal and you make a decision if you want to get better.
