I am a traditional technique photographer, but very experimental, and the base of my work is set in the darkroom, where I explore and give shape to those sensations, thoughts and emotions so as to fully express the inner significance of my images. What happens when I depress the shutter is just the beginning. The technical tools, far from being a barrier entail the medium to my art, which allows me to transform the image into what I saw with my mind's eye. The manipulation allows me to portray those moments in life.

I use every tool at my disposal, such as different film stocks, filters, darkroom effects to impregnate my feelings onto the image. I work with traditional black and white printing and alternative printing methods and materials: cyanotypes, salt prints, gum bichromate prints, all on hand-coated watercolor papers. For me this is a way of holding what has left its mark on me, allowing me to share it with others; going beyond the image, sneaking in to bring out feelings that can be elusive, and also giving it a more profound meaning; creating an accurate memory.
