Dangling

I have always asserted a child’s contempt for reality. I am fascinated by alternate realities, and have passion for intimacy. I am constantly searching for and exploring that which is found in the blurred image, the ghostly shadows and the blotted contours.

For me, photography is the art of finding the extraordinary in the ordinary – often overlooked - world of shapes, forms, textures, colours and light. Finding something wholly different and reinterpreting it, distilling. Absorbing it and then sharing that discovery is the essence of my work; I aim to bring what is at my disposal and put it at the disposal of others, creating a bridge to communicate the wonders and emotions I have discovered and let the viewer explore and experiment with them.

Since my very first experiments in photography I have been fascinated by human behaviour and its various realities, by the ever present human desire of escaping and living in a dream world.

The aesthetic of the photographs I am sending, from the project “Frozen in Time” continue and enrich this visual exploration at the border between dream and reality by the feeling of escaping which it conveys, and by the human desire of escaping and living in a dream world.
