She now specializes in still life, food, and animal photography (and, as she says, a combination of all three). With this mix of the three, “it is guaranteed that it never gets boring with the danger of deadlocked routine.” Regarding her choice in specialty, Sabine explains “I chose Food as a specialization to show a different approach from the regular 'cookbook style food on a plate'. And I chose shooting live Animals because they are just different from everything else and so much fun to work with.”

“No matter in which of the three areas of specialization I’m working, there is always a conceptual approach with very precisely staged compositions and the emphasis on details. So I hardly ever leave something to chance – everything is completely planned and well-thought-out.” It’s no wonder that Sabine refers to herself as a perfectionist, also attributing the caliber of her work to her “kick-ass assistants, a great foodstylist and the god of postproduction,” however still life she still styles herself.

Some inspirational photographers for Sabine include Hans Neleman, Hans Hansen, Nick Knight, and Gregory Crewdson.
