Some people love working with big crews. I don't like it that much. I like my work to be a personal experience for everyone, so I believe that having a huge crew makes it impersonal and difficult to improvise sometimes. Some of my best shots are always those that just happened during the session, or came from a conversation with the model. I like the intimacy created between the photographer and subject. And If I have a team, it has to be with people I trust and like, otherwise it's just a commercial thing and there will be no soul in it.

I work most of the time with models and I want to know a little bit about them and their lives before I start. There is always some chat with coffee and fun to relax before the sessions. Team is team, not just a bunch of people checking their mobiles or watches all the time. Every person has the same importance in my team and we make the results. When there is chemistry and we all know how important we are, things not only work better but there are more chances to create new stuff.
