Do you have a muse? Tell us about him or her?
I don't want to be cheesy but I'd say my models are my muse, and most of them inspire me! That's why I always say that it's important to have a good conection with your models because the feelings they have during the photo shoot will show. You want to make them as confortable as possible so the images would show the feeling you want to show and somehow you have to make that happen. I learned this from when I was a model and the most beautiful images I had as a model, were taken by photographers that I really trusted and felt confortable with.
What is a perfect photo to you?
As I've been talking about since the beginning of this interview, photos for me are the reflection of feelings. The perfect photo for me is the one that gives you some feeling, tat makes you travel in time and space, not leaving the place you are. The perfect photo tells you a story or makes you create one, makes you wonder and fantasize! The perfect photo would change someones life in some way or make someone see the world in a different way, it's the image somebody will reconize and remember.
But also, today with all the technology we have, the perfect photo can't be edited to the point that you don't believe what you see. I mean, if the original image is changed in the computer editing so much that it loses the photographer's point of view, it becames a computer production.
What would you dream photo-shoot be?
Great location, with amazing models and a very inspiring stylist. I don't really think we can go wrong with that right?
Is there one? In the ideal world, I'd say when everyone is in a good moond and on time, the location amazing, the lighting is perfect, the wardrobe ready, models looking the best they ever looked, the equipment working perfectly! But that doesn't really happen, we all know that. So for me, the dream photo-shoot is the one where everyone is having a good time and the final product is amazing images! And the clients very happy with the results, of course!
