Growing up around army bases, my father served in the military and also
was an illustrator during his free time, so most of my creative
background I owe to him. I tried drawing, painting, sculpting, and even
played the alto saxophone growing up but none of these mediums were
sufficient compared with taking a photograph. When I was 17, I had just
moved to Texas and trying to adjust to the South. I found a $15
Canon FTb SLR camera still functioning at a local antique store and
after playing around with it and developing my first roll, I knew I was
hooked.
