For this story I was interested in producing a beauty/hair nude story with a fine-art twist, in a well contrasted black and white and with a nice blurred effect on the edges, to make everything a bit more ethereal and soft, less bold and obvious.

I thought about this story when the incredibly talented make-up artist Christian Merz told me he would go to London from Germany, so I had to take advantage of his precious hand to produce something beautiful with him.

We were on the same wave-lenght and the model was into the mood and very lovely to work with. I shot the story in my homestudio in London. when I looked at the pictures after working on them, I realised I could see Paolo Roversi as my main source of inspiration, although I wasn't really aware of it while shooting. I think his work is so unforgettable and deep-rooted in my mind that sometimes I release bits and pieces of his visual language as it is what I would like my own work to look like.

I am a deeply aesthetic person, I seek beauty in the everyday life and my goal as an artist is to produce beauty and give it back to the world. I consider my work the result of my endless quest for beauty and harmony.

I strive for aesthetic perfection and storytelling. Fashion photography lets me blend these two factors in a way no other art form could do. I recently read a quote by Bruno Dayan and I find it particularly significant for what I mean my work to be: "I like working on aesthetically “beautiful” photos where there’s still a feeling of something slightly mysterious and dramatic, as in the work of David Lynch and Caravaggio."
