I'm definitely a pictorialist and prefer slow and mystical old technologies involving real precious materials like platinum and silver. I shoot with very long exposures allowing the soul of my models to show up in their eyes... The best advise for beginners is: Experiment and find yourself in photography... Be different from others but consistent and recognizable
