During my childhood my dad always took pictures and developed them in the bathroom. I remember the smell of the chemicals.. In highschool, when a friend told me about this course she took, analogue photography, I got interested in finding out what my dad's hobby was all about. I got hooked immediately. The smell, the black and white image that slowly merged on the paper. The excitement I felt about the handcraft, the whole process from loading the camera with a film-roll all the way until I held the print in my hand, all made by me!
I managed to talk my principle into letting me do a project based on photography (in Sweden we write an essay about a subject we choose) and I went to Paris. It ended up as 8 images and written thoughts about the feeling I had when I took them and was shown as a small exhibition in school.
