When it
comes to my personal work, starting a series usually
involves spending several weeks conceptualizing it. I do this because,
in
my experience, ideas need to be worked out and developed before
becoming
something more substantial. I try to make my starting point
introspective, figuring out which things intrigue me the most about my
life and about the lives of the people that surround me. Most of my
work is autobiographical. My feelings and obsessions make up the bulk
of the raw material of my photography.
