I got into these shots by simply talking to the model. Asked him his name, his likes, dislikes how was his day going. Prior to the shoot we had never met each other or knew anything about each other except for our names.
These photos were a test shoot for one of the agencies I shoot for. I went into the shoot wanting to produce something edgy, and dramatic but personal. Personal as in feeling a connection with the subject… the emotions that he is presenting to you.
The images mean a great deal to me, I feel accomplished when I look at them.
Describe your style.
I am still discovering my style. Some say my work is contemporary, intimate,and refined.
Any final advice for your fellow young photographers?
Hard work pays… if you keep working towards your goals you will make it. Every little step adds to the big picture. Know your worth as a photographer.
