The project I show here is one of the first I did back in 2008, when I finished artschool and started photography in university. It's called “Into the Void” for two reasons. Firstly, it's a direct link to a song by Nine Inch Nails I really like. Second, it's a metaphor for finding my own way in the world of photography, not knowing which direction I will go. It's a very important project to me, because it was a starting point to find my own visual style. It brings my two passions together: music and photography. I created this series by listening to my favorite music and started photographing with the ideas that the lyrics gave me, so they are very personal too I guess.
