Jesse Through my club friends I started to dabble in medium and then large format photography. I really enjoyed slowing things down and composing a single shot rather than shooting 100 frames to feel happy about 1 ‘hero’. I began to think creatively and really understand the black box that was in my hand. The camera was no longer just another toy to hold (and spend vast amounts of money on), it was simply a tool to assist me in realizing that thing I was trying to say. I found purpose by standing on my ‘soapbox’…the film was my canvas and the camera merely my brush. |
