Together with a good friend, another Art Director, we created a 'creative crew' : Mustribe. It's a laboratory of creative experience, which sees painters, graphic designers, typographer, photographers and others coming together to express themselves. No rules. No constraints. Everyone indeed does what they like and what they do best. And twice a year, we organise exhibitions where all these forms of expressions come together.
When I photograph, I love telling stories through my pictures. Stories of life. Stories of people. Putting people in different places and shooting them in these different universes. I usually find it more interesting to take things out of their 'comfort zones' : putting people in places that are a bit unlikely, creating worlds that are not supposed to come together in real life - connecting opposites, so to say. This is where I believe some of the magic comes from and where surprise and sometimes shock are created. It's all about creating a striking picture - that does not conform to general expectations.
